This is the same hide we cut our own goods from: full grain Crazy Horse — chrome-tanned cowhide with the grain surface left intact, then saturated with waxes and oils. Press a thumb into it and the wax shifts to a lighter tone, then settles back. That pull-up effect is the leather's character, and it's why scuffs and fold lines blend back with handling instead of scarring.

The weight is 4 oz (1.6–1.8 mm) — pouch and wallet weight. Thick enough to hold its shape without a lining, thin enough to fold cleanly and hand stitch without a press. Best for cut-and-sew projects: wallets, card holders, keychains, sheaths, pouches, straps and small accessories.

One honest caveat: this is not a tooling leather. Chrome-tanned hide won't hold a stamped or carved impression the way vegetable-tanned leather does, and it won't case or take a spirit dye the same way. If your project is tooling or carving, buy veg-tan instead.
