Each one is cut from full grain vegetable-tanned leather, the highest grade a hide offers. The surface is left exactly as nature made it, which means the grain you see is real and the character only deepens with use. The secure front flap is the quiet hero here. It keeps cards and folded bills safely in place when the holder is bouncing around a bag or a back pocket — but opens with one thumb when you're standing at the register. Between made-to-order batches, the bench sometimes produces something off the menu — a leather we bought a single hide of, a thread colour we tried on a whim, a combination a customer requested and we fell for. We cut a small, numbered run, photograph it, and put it here.

Once a run sells out, we don't remake it. That's not scarcity theatre — one hide only stretches so far.
