Leather Foraging Pouch

I love this thing. It's obviously well made and the perfect thing to take with me when hiking, although I have not used it for that. Instead, my first use of it was carrying a bunch of acorn seeds to plan around the 40 acre property here. Kind of wish I had this when I was a kid for my sling shot. Might have to get a sling shot just so I have more reasons to keep this on me.

I haven't encountered this type of pouch before, but having received this one, I can definitely see how it will be useful. I love that it can be carried in a collapsed format, but easily and quickly expands if and when needed. The design is simple but effective. It's easy to stow in a pocket or backpack, or it can be carried collapsed on your belt as well.The leather is thick but supple. The snap is durable and works positively. With that said, I think a buckle of some sort would be more secure for struggling through brush or anywhere that the bag might get snagged.The bag itself is made of strong but light cloth. The stitching seems good; definitely good enough for the intended use. It's easy to open or collapse the pouch for storage or for use. Once open, the pouch stays open at the top for easy use, but it's deep enough to prevent accidental loss of contents.My wife is the collector in our family, and she's going to be glad to have this. That said, she'll likely use it to collect rocks, so the weight might exceed that of people collecting morels. ;)

It can be worn snapped onto a belt or rig a crossbody strap up or wear as a hip bag. It's a good size, the leather is good quality with sturdy metal snaps, the bag folds up small for storage and has a drawstring pull to close the top. Comes in severl color choices for the leather, all of the bags are bright white/off white. I really would prefer the bag itself be khaki color so it'll show less dirt, but I can always tea/coffee dye it easily. Regular price $ 14.99 per the listing and I love it!

The leather is thick and of excellent quality. The workmanship is perfection. The bag is thick canvas and the drawstring is a cotton rope. The leather parts fold the bag into a compact carry kit, and doubles as a belt loop mount so that you have hands free to collect treasures. For me, it's sea glass! I can't wait to get back out on the hunt with this new collection bag. The possibilities are endless!

Although this pouch is meant for foraging, it has so many other creative uses. On hikes, you can put treats in it for yourself or for your furry friend. You can also use it to carry your hat or light windbreaker. If you put a plastic liner in it, you can use it for berry picking or collecting herbs or wildflowers. The leather is soft and the bag is sturdy. What a cool product I didn't even know I needed!
